Project Udbhav aims to study the evolution of Indian military systems, strategy, war fighting and strategic concepts with the aim of developing an indigenous strategic culture and vocabulary rooted in India's philosophy and traditions. The project will conduct sound academic research and present the findings through a series of publications and seminars. The Project is being developed along the lines of the Government of India's vision for developing an Indigenous Strategic Military Culture through the study of the evolution of Indian Military Systems and strategic thought since ancient times.
